About us
ExpACT is a Dutch research project that focuses on people's exposure to air pollution. The project brings together an interdisciplinary team of experts from universities, knowledge institutes, social partners, citizen initiatives, municipalities, provinces, ministries and industry in a new consortium. The project will run from 2025 to 2031 and is funded by NWO.
The aim of ExpACT is to reduce our exposure to air pollutants. We do this by developing new technologies that enable us to map air quality and evaluate interventions. We also create an open dialogue and encourage cooperation between different stakeholders. This enables citizens, companies, and governments to take action to reduce our exposure to air pollution. This is how we work together in an alliance for clean air.
The ExpACT consortium is led by Roel Vermeulen, professor of environmental epidemiology at Utrecht University, and consists of the following partners: AIREAS, ArboUnie, Cosanta B.V.
